Christophe Frey

Christophe Frey is Chairman of the Board of Vertical Compute. he worked at Arm in various VP roles for 20 years. He has been the General Manager of Arm France from 2014 to 2026. Under his leadership, Arm’s French entity has experienced significant workforce growth, up to 500 employees. He also served as Vice-President of European Engagements, focusing on strengthening Arm’s presence within the European semiconductor ecosystem, engaging with public authorities, startups and partners. In 2025 he co-managed Arm Germany. Since 2026 he is acting as a mentor and ecosystem leader supporting startups in several European initiatives like the Silicon Catalyst ChipStart EU and the European Chip Design Platform accelerator. In 2024 he became an operating Partner at C4 Ventures investment fund, where he brings his 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, operations, and management in an international context. He also acts as an advisor for the French startup Arago and Chairman of the board of ChipMango, as well as advisory board member of SaasOffice. He holds a MS degree from PHELMA Grenoble and has held various roles in design, management, and program management at STMicroelectronics in Crolles, France, for 12 years.
