Abstract
In our fast-changing world with many threats and challenges, curiosity and wonder are the most fundamental ingredients to build resilience and stay ahead. It is through curiosity that we discover new solutions and pave the way to a sustainable future.
Researchers and innovators, guided by curiosity, explore new frontiers and develop breakthrough technologies and solutions, actively shaping a better future. But they cannot achieve this alone. To further catalyze this positive change, it is important that governments, businesses and citizens come together to collectively shape a sustainable future. A future in which green and economic progress go hand in hand, in which Flanders and Europe regain their competitive position while ensuring a healthy living environment for all.
This talk is an invitation to join us on a journey of positive transition, driven by curiosity and collaboration. The potential of waste as a as a competitive resource will be used as case-study to illustrate how a sustainable future can be achieved.
