Roel Boumen

Roel Boumen received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering from the Eindhoven University of Technology, the Netherlands, in 2007 and a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2004. Since 2007 he has worked in multiple positions at ASML, a Dutch manufacturer of lithography systems.

In his career at ASML he worked mainly within the development and engineering sector on the integration of EUV scanners and sources. As part of the EUV source development he spend multiple years at Cymer San Diego, now part of ASML. In recent years, he has been department manager for the System Integration department and the Source Laser department collaborating with German industry partner TRUMPF. 

Since 2024, he is Product Development Manager within the High NA program at ASML. In this role he is responsible for the development and integration of the EXE:5200B system.
