Abstract

Next generation AI scale-up networks will require the reach and bandwidth provided by optics to support the needs of increasingly advanced models as AI systems scale beyond the physical and power limits of copper-based interconnects. The technology enabling this transition to photonics needs to meet key metrics in terms of scalability, bandwidth density, power consumption, latency, and thermal stability while remaining compatible with real-world AI system architectures. Marvell Technology’s Photonic Fabric platform is at the cutting edge in terms of these metrics and is poised to usher in an era of optical scaleup connectivity that makes large-scale, energy-efficient AI systems practical and deployable.
