Raffaella Borzi

Raffaella Borzi - Vice President Strategic Partnerships Americas, imec
For the past 22 years, Raffaella Borzi has held key leadership positions at imec, recently serving as Director of Business Development and, currently, the Vice President and General Manager of imec USA. As a woman in science, she has a passion for innovation and a proven track record of successfully building and expanding businesses in new markets and developing new and strategic partnerships. Additionally, she’s been challenged to develop imec’s innovation ASICs services business and R&D strategic partnerships teams, successfully establishing imec’s strategic alliances across different industries, not only in North America but right in the heart of Silicon Valley. 
Italian is Raffaella’s native language; however, she is fluent in English, French, and Spanish. Raffaella holds a PhD in solid-state physics from Washington University in St. Louis. She further pursued her education, performing postdoctoral research work at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 
From building business around new application areas and new industry segments, like fab system, health, and environmental companies, Raffaella has a proven track record in business and the analytical skills required for complex business environments. Most importantly, she strives to motivate young minds and is a role model pillar for young women in science.
