SensAI - unlocking the potential of novel sensing for autonomous driving

In order to achieve next levels of autonomous driving a vehicle's perception of the world needs to be highly robust. Long tail problems, adverse environmental conditions (light, weather) and the reliable detection of dangerous obstacles (lost cargo) are still a challenge for current day technology. Besides progress in AI, novel sensors will provide autonomous vehicles with the "superhuman" sensing they will need to see and understand everything around them.
