Vidya Rajagopalan

Vidya Rajagopalan leads the Electrical Hardware team at Rivian and is responsible for developing hardware platforms that form the basis of all Rivian vehicles. Since joining Rivian in 2020, Vidya has built up world-class technical teams and has led the development of key electrical technology in vehicles, spanning multiple domains including Autonomy, Infotainment and Vehicle Systems.

Prior to Rivian, Vidya was at Tesla where she worked on the Model 3 platform. Before Tesla, Vidya worked with a variety of silicon and systems companies including Xilinx, MIPS, SGI, QED and Digital Equipment Corporation, where she had the opportunity to participate in the launch of many first-of-its-kind products. As Corporate Vice President at Xilinx, Vidya built the entire Zynq product line from scratch and led a cross-functional team to deliver multiple generations of this highly successful product. Early on in her career, Vidya also worked on Digital Equipment Corporation's Alpha microprocessors, which were recognised for their groundbreaking performance at the time.

Vidya holds a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
