Dieter Ghysbrecht

Dieter Ghysbrecht received his M.Sc. degree in Mechanical-Electrotechnical Engineering in 2000, a Master’s degree in Business Economics in 2005, and a postgraduate degree in Big Data Analytics in 2020, all from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium.

He began his career at Seghers and subsequently held roles of increasing technical and commercial responsibility at TotalEnergies, Materialise, and Bekaert. Dieter has built a broad industrial background across the environmental, petrochemical, software, and metals sectors. He brings strong international experience, having worked in France, China, and The Netherlands.

Prior to joining imec, he served as Business Unit Manager in the Metal Fiber Technology Department at Bekaert, where he collaborated with key semiconductor industry partners, including Pall and Entegris.

In 2024, Dieter joined imec, where he is responsible for managing deposition equipment and materials supplier partnerships. Additionally, he oversees imec’s wafer services offering for calibration and testing.
