New perspectives for semiconductor innovation

October 9, 2025 - Malaga, Spain

Keep me informed

For decades, shrinking transistor size was enough to drive exponential improvements in computing power, as described by Moore’s Law. But that era is ending. Sustaining progress now demands bold innovation, such as new manufacturing processes and the introduction of new materials, combined with silicon.

Recently established imec Spain will play a vanguard role in this next chapter of semiconductor innovation, with its 300mm pilot line for specialized chip technology complementing imec’s advanced CMOS process line.

This high-potential facility and the new perspectives for semiconductor innovation it offers will be a central theme of Imec Technology Forum Spain.

ITF Spain highlights

Keynotes and dynamic debates will shed light on:

  • Imec Spain’s concrete plans and how its pilot line will strengthen both local and global semiconductor ecosystems.

  • Imec’s advanced technology platforms and how partners in domains like health, AR/VR, data/telecom, AI, and mobility can access them.

  • How to meet the growing demand for skilled chip-industry professionals

  • The power of deep-tech start-ups to accelerate innovation at the frontiers of technology.

A networking lunch will be held to wrap up the half-day program.
