Teresa Riesgo

Teresa Riesgo is the General Secretary of Innovation of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain and President of Centre of Technology Development and Innovation (CDTI) since January 2020, former Director General of Research, Development and Innovation since July 2018. She holds Master and PhD Degrees in Industrial Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), where she was Full Professor of Electronics since 2003. During her academic career she has participated in more than 60 research projects, many of them international and in cooperation with industry, and published more than 200 scientific papers. After more than 25 years of academic, research and innovation activities, she took the responsibility as DG at the Ministry where she is now in charge of the innovation policies both in the private and public sectors and the deep tech entrepreneurship promotion.
