Biography

Christine King's 50-year career in technology has included roles as CEO or Executive Chair of four companies providing technology to the enterprise computing, consumer, automotive, medical and healthcare markets.  As CEO, Christine took AMI Semiconductor public and dramatically improved the financial performance of all four companies.

The first 23 years of Christine's career were spent at IBM, where she rose from an entry-level engineering technologist to lead IBM's $6B microelectronics business.  Her work at IBM included the creation of new methodologies that revolutionized the way semiconductor chips are designed.  Most recently she has been the CEO of Henry Schein One the leading Dental Saas company.

Christine currently serves on the Board of Directors for Skyworks, a semiconductor manufacturer for smartphone and IOT applications, and is an advisor for Henry Schein One, the world’s largest software and services company for the dental industry.  She previously served on the boards of AMI Semiconductor, Analog Devices, Atheros Communications, Cirrus Logic, Idaho Power, ON Semiconductor, SMSC (Standard Microsystems), Allegro Technologies, Open Silicon, Henry Schein One and QLogic.

In her spare time, Christine is a champion equestrian in the sport of cow cutting and has raised prize-winning dairy cows.  Her work at IBM is the subject of a Harvard Business School case study, and she is a regular public speaker on overcoming adversity.  The book detailing her rise to becoming the first female CEO of a semiconductor company and the lessons she learned along the way, Breaking Through the Silicon Ceiling, was published in 2024.
