Biography
Gabriel M. Soares received his PhD in Microelectronics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, where he specialized in CMOS technology, analog design, and compact modelling. His research focused on tera-ohm-range pseudo-resistors, and he also made contributions to the development of the ACM2 MOSFET model. Since joining imec in 2025 as an R&D Engineer, he has been supporting the development of nanosheet and CFET Pathfinding PDKs, participating in the release of the N2 and A14 P-PDKs and contributing to the definition of FEOL and BEOL technologies. His current work focuses on designing process infrastructure for emerging semiconductor technologies and future roadmap development.
