Vidya Rajagopalan

Vidya Rajagopalan is a SVP at Rivian where her teams are responsible for the design and development of electrical platforms found in Rivian vehicles and charging products. Her teams develop key electrical technology in a wide variety of domains including vehicle control systems, autonomy, infotainment, propulsion and energy management. Prior to Rivian, Vidya was at Tesla where she worked on the Model 3 platform. Vidya came to the automotive industry after several years in semiconductor chip and IP development.  She has worked with a variety of silicon and systems companies including: Xilinx, MIPS, SGI, QED and Digital Equipment Corp where she had the opportunity to participate in the launch of many first-of-its-kind products. As Corporate Vice President at Xilinx, Vidya built the entire Zynq product line from scratch and led a cross functional team to deliver multiple generations of this highly successful product. Early on in her career Vidya also worked on the Alpha microprocessors from Digital Equipment Corporation, which were recognized for their groundbreaking performance at that time. Vidya holds a masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
